.: Mission Statement

Our background as working musicians, technicians and artists has greatly affected the philosophy under which we operate Lariat Records.  We understand that there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to recording or presenting an artists material.  Not if it is going to be done right.

Each artist has something special to say.  We see it as part of our job to help the artist say it. To assist the artist through the selection of material, and the presentation and performance of that material in a way which best allows each artist to show their audience who they are, and what they have to offer.
To help the artist to create products which will facilitate the accomplishment of their goals. To convey to the general public through recordings the very essence of the artists personality.  Marketing, Promotions and publicity have a large part in how an artist and their music is perceived.  Lariat Records works hard to ensure that the artist's vision and image are shown the same care as the recording itself.

We do this in an orderly progressive manner which allows the artist as much control as possible, while ensuring that everything is handled according to accepted industry standards.
